The Fairmont Banff Springs

This weekend was pretty fun for Peter and I! My company had our Christmas party up at the Banff Springs Hotel and we were lucky enough to have all our expenses paid for us.

So here's how our weekend went:

I drove up with a girl I work with and checked in and got ready in the late afternoon. Then appetizers and drinks were served from 6pm - 7pm and then we sat down for dinner. First came this yummy salad/pastry thing, then a delicious thai soup, and then the main course. I had filet mignon and peter had pork tenderloin. And then came the dessert . . . which was decorated and arranged beautifully! Peter arrived shortly after we had all finished dinner - about 10 pm. He valet parked and rushed in and they made and served the whole dinner for him!

Last Looks Before the Big City

After we lounged around the pool and explored the hotel we went to the Rundle Lounge and had CREAM TEA! It was delicious! Then we came home.

Who are Neil and Lo ???

Sorry guys, guess I should have explained. Neil and Lo are very good friends of Peter and I. Both Neil and Lo played basketball for Mount Royal College in the past. Neil played for 3 and a 1/2 years and Lo played for 3 years. Peter knew Neil through basketball prior to playing for MRC last year and then they became friends in Neils's last year and Peter's first year (2004-2005). Peter also met Lo during his first year as she was on the women's team. Neil is also the guy that Peter moved in with in Marda Loop from his condo by MRC.

I met Neil at a basketball game last year in November and then it was actually through Neil a few nights later that Peter and I met.

So as a couple we have been friends with these guys since December 2004. We all have a lot of fun together, whether it be drinking wine or just chatting and laughing!
